Purpose of the Job

The successful candidate will work as part of the Group Investment Advisers function.

Key Accountabilities

1. Client partner: the IA will be the ‘Investment Specialist’ at the kitchen table for our wealthy clients and their families, delivering the full Discretionary and Advisory offering, partnering with the CA, and being innovative and tenacious in meeting client needs

2. Lead for investment proposals & portfolio reviews for tailored clients in discretionary & advisory

3. Lead for delivering recommendation & executing client requests for tailored advisory portfolios

4. Managing tailored discretionary portfolios, referenced to the Quintet asset allocation and conviction framework (Strategic Asset Allocation, Tactical Asset allocation), adhering to the Local Investment Policy and taking into account tailoring needs and instructions by clients

5. CIO / GPS partner: the voice of our CIO investment views and product recommendations to clients & CAs in their region

6. Provide an active feedback loop to colleagues in CIO and GPS on offering development, CIO investment views, and product recommendations

7. Create conviction with clients & CAs on CIO / GPS investment views & products

8. Communications: raise the bar in quality of local delivery in all respects (investment and market insights, investment proposals, instruments choice, portfolio reviews, holistic wealth reviews, etc)

9. Client solutions partner: ensure we drive a holistic approach to client relationships

10. Support our Client Advisors, and partner with Lending and Planning, in driving growth

11. Change partner: be an agent of change for strategic transformation

12. Drive book transition according to Group objectives

Knowledge and Experience

- Proven and relevant portfolio manager, investment advisor or analyst experience supported by a university degree (minimum 5 years relevant job experience)

- Relevant market & asset class knowledge as well as good knowledge and insight in all financial instruments, including Alternative Investments

- Proven experience in advising HNWI or UHNWI clients with complex asset situations and comprehensive requirements

- Good understanding of the financial sector, its’ processes, products and regulations

- Certification as a CFA, CAIA is a plus

- Excellent oral communication skills including ability to listen to, convince and negotiate with Clients, Client Advisors, Product Specialists, Lending and Wealth Planning Specialist and Portfolio Managers

Technical Skills

- Strong command of MS Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint

- Bloomberg: advanced knowledge (or comparable system provider)

Languages Skills


- Dutch mother tongue

- French / English  fluent
